Quintessential Active Directory Resource
This book does an adequate job of training one on the basic topics covered in the imminently-retiring 70-742 exam. However, if you’ve been working desktop support roles and have only worked with Active Directory from the standpoint of getting users and computers either reset or placed into proper OUs, this book is a FANTASTIC resource for learning more about Active Directory. Considering that very little (if anything) has changed in Active Directory between Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019, the vast majority of what’s in this book (if not its entirety) will still be valid material!
So, even if you’re not somehow going to buy this book, read it, study for, and pass Exam 70-742 in the next 72 hours, I still strongly recommend this book as a reference resource and educational primer on modern era on-premises Active Directory.
