Decent Technical Reference Material even if the exam is retired
As far as Exam Ref series Microsoft books covering 70-series MCSA/MCSD/MCSE exams go, this book succeeded in covering the important gists of everything and much more so than other books in the MCSA: Windows Server 2016 series. The front half of the book is written very casually which, I find, helps me absorb the material better. That’s not to say that the back half of the book isn’t also well written, just more to say that I found the humorous and open writing style of the front half of the book to be quite helpful in absorbing the material.
Unfortunately, picking up this book in 2021 with the associated exam retiring in three days, will entail a few elements that will have changed in newer versions of Windows Server as well as Azure. But the core concepts here are still useful, making this book still worth considering for security professionals.
