Publisher Description
The Explore the Bible: Students Daily Discipleship Guide helps students engage in group and personal Bible study.
The Spring 2019 study on the Gospel of Mark reveals how Jesus brought the kingdom of God to earth and how He is the fulfillment of God’s plan of redemption. Students will not only unpack who Jesus is and what He came from heaven to earth to accomplish, but also why so many people struggled to accept Him. Mark could not be clearer that Jesus is the Son of God and the promised messiah who would bring full and final redemption. However, Jesus was not the kind of messiah and king that people expected. He established His kingdom in manner unlike any king or ruler—by becoming a servant and suffering and dying for His people.
By looking at Mark’s account of the life, death, and ministry of Jesus, students will not only be challenged to embrace Jesus as Lord and Savior, but also to follow His example as the Suffering Servant. Jesus is a greater king than we can possibly imagine and He calls us to a greater life of love, service, sacrifice, and purpose than we've ever known.
