EXTREME POVERTY, SHAME ON HUMANITY!
ESSAY
Even the poorest countries have upper classes that live in opulence without caring for less fortunate citizens. Faced with these injustices, the author felt revulsion and, throughout his life, he sought means and resources to fight against poverty.
As a child, he himself lived in poverty, in a large family with insufficient resources. The experience of poverty and ease, as well as of all the intermediate states, gave him a critical eye to comment on the misdeeds of governments: cartels, monopolies, quotas, and so on: groups that come together to grab a larger share of the available wealth, to the prejudice of the less clever.
Illness reminded him that time was running out. Faced with this urgency, he denounces in these pages the abuses of the authorities and suggests ways to eliminate as many as possible of these injustices.
