Publisher Description
Haunted by visions. Hunted by a goddess. Guarded by a captivating stranger with secrets of his own.
Meghan Elam has spent seventeen years trying to ignore the voices in her head and the shifting colors of her eyes. She thought she was crazy—until the shadows started reaching back.
Enter Cade MacRoich. He offers more than just answers; he provides a doorway to Eile, a realm of ancient Celtic magic where spirits whisper in the earth and immortals play for keeps. But Cade is more than a guide, and his protection carries a cost Meghan may not be ready to pay.
As a vengeful deity closes in, Meghan must decide: remain an oddity in a world of silence, or embrace the strangeness smoldering within her own soul that is the only thing standing between her and a goddess's wrath.
Celtic lore blends with a touch of darkness in this high-stakes portal fantasy. Perfect for fans of the treacherous fae world in The Cruel Prince and the lush, myth-rooted storytelling of Daughter of the Forest.
Customer Reviews
Interesting premise.
Okay, I understand the main character is in high school and I didn’t expect her to act like an adult, but I don’t remember being quite that wishy washy when I was that age. I really wanted to love this story about a girl who has always been different than everyone else, but I just couldn’t. I enjoyed the story, but I didn’t really love it.
