A reporter from Tampa Florida is assigned to investigate a toxic chemical case in Peru Florida. The plant is a carpet mill. A informant claims the carpet mill is dumping toxic chemicals into the water supply. Soil contamination of all the farming lands has occurred and the only job in town is at the plant. The local Sheriff also knows about this and the plants CEO is one of his poker buddies. A short novella. With a very dramatic ending that almost cost the reporter his life. Another excellent read in this series!! Enjoyed immensely!
