Fair Use
Publisher Description
Fair Use is an important exception included in U.S. copyright law that allows the use of copyrighted materials without permission from the copyright owner under certain circumstances. This tutorial will help you understand your fair use rights and when it’s appropriate to make use of other people’s works under fair use. By learning how to properly perform a fair use analysis, you can determine when fair use may or may not apply in your own projects. This interactive book includes examples, activities and self-quizzes to reinforce core concepts and help you apply them. This book was developed as a collaboration between the Ohio State University Libraries’ Office of Teaching & Learning and Copyright Resources Center.
