Tippy Meadowcroft + Dave Sherman? No way. We can never be on the same team. Pickleball or otherwise. We're worse than oil and vinegar. We don't mix at all. But somehow I find myself in a messy predicament and instead of tending to the true love of my life—my oyster farm—I'm wasting time pretending to date my arch nemesis. This will never work. No chance. Absolutely not.

If Dave Sherman hadn't started making those ridiculous kissy faces and "come-hither" moves, we wouldn't be in this mess. But here we are. If I want to make my dream a reality, I'll have to swoon over my lifelong enemy—maybe even swap a fake kiss or two. And act like the whole thing is for real.
