Faking It with the School Bully

The biggest bully in my school mistakenly thinks I'm gay. He's pushy and manipulative so before I can figure out a way to stop him from outing me as the first openly gay kid at our high school—he gets injured defending me from a gay hate crime.
I'm not even gay
His brash actions put him in the hospital with a wired jaw. Everyone assumes he defended me because he's my boyfriend.
He's not even gay.
Two weeks later, speech impaired, jaw wired shut, and angry as ever, my bully returns to school. We're in so deep now that we have to maintain the ruse.
Graduation is three months away. I can pretend to be the school bully's boyfriend until then, right? Maybe, even keep him from getting into fights while his jaw heals?
I'm doomed. And I'm starting to think my fake boyfriend bully might actually be gay.
