Anna has settled into her new life...as much as anyone can. She has few people to confide in other than her friends. And, of course, Victor Prince.

When he disappears, they instantly suspect the involvement of rogue Guardian Erica Turner. It's her turn to rescue him, and this does not help the tension in their relationship.
