Fallen Spirits

Once you've fallen, the only way back is up.

At forty-five, Alex Scott loses her fiancé, her job, her dog, and what's left of her dignity, all in the same week. She's unemployed, heartbroken, and drowning in vodka in a Jersey City apartment.

Then a mysterious stranger with no name and no memory appears on her street corner. What starts as a grudging act of charity becomes a cross-country chase and a reckoning with who she thought she was.

Because Crystal isn't human. She's a fallen spirit, and something is severing the connection between humans and their spirit guides.

Behind it is billionaire JT Wilson, tech titan, egomaniac, and chronic farter, who's discovered that people connected to their spirit guides are becoming less materialistic. And that's bad for business.

As Alex is pulled deeper into a world she never knew existed, she begins to see how much of the life she thought she wanted was built on other people's ideas of happiness, success, love, and who she was supposed to be.

To save Crystal, Alex will have to survive JT. To save herself, she'll have to start questioning everything she thought she knew.

Visionary fiction at its strangest and funniest, Fallen Spirits is a genre-bending story about addiction, power, identity, and what happens when the life you worked so hard to build turns out not to be yours.
