“Charlie took a deep breath and opened her front door—and came face-to-face with sexy-as-sin Andrew. She’d scented him, but thought it was just because he was on this floor. “Hey.” Why did she sound all breathy? There would be no breathiness, no sexiness. Nada. Tonight they were going to be two professionals on patrol acting like civilized wolves.
Her inner wolf nearly snorted. Yeah right, that was why she’d worn her tight cargo pants and skin tight matching tank top. Liar, liar, sexy pants on fire.
He swept his gaze over her so quickly she might have missed it, but there was no ignoring the glint of hunger in his pale eyes when their gazes clashed again. God, this male was determined to drive her insane simply with his presence. And oh, what a presence it was. Tall, dark, sexy, he was dressed similarly to her with dark cargo pants and a T-shirt that did nothing to hide those sculpted abs and muscles. Good short read
Charlie loved Andrew but after he left her with no contact or information, she's heartbroken. Andrew is scared at what loving Charlie does to him. He left her with no explanation and now he realizes his mistake and wants her back. How much groveling can one man go through for the love of his woman?
This was a cute short story. We didn't drag out making Andrew grovel and they were able to handle their issues relatively quickly to obtain their happily ever after. I have no idea why mates fight what nature has destined. ☺️

Fun story to read
What a fun story to read. Although part of a series, easy to read as a stand alone and follow the story. I thought it was well written and a hoot to read. Gotta love a good grovel.
