Publisher Description
He was the worst teacher I ever had. I was the worst student he ever taught.
I can’t believe I’m standing on the steps of Bracken Middle School again.
Ten years ago, this place was my worst nightmare, no thanks to Jack “McSlutbag” Slater, the teacher who blocked my shot at a full basketball scholarship. But time heals many wounds, and I’m only a few months away from earning my undergrad in education, despite the hell Slater once put me through.
Now I’m the teacher. I’ll help kids rather than destroy them. If I can just get through this semester without too many fouls, I’ll be fine.
But it’s not fine. Because when I go to meet my new supervisor, McSlutbag’s sitting behind the desk, looking like a gorgeous, vengeful god ready to mete out punishment for slights—some real, most perceived—committed by the hellion I used to be.
Worse? The cold hatred I once felt for him has turned hot enough to set my drawers on fire.
I want him. In a bad way.
So long, dream internship. Hello, sexy nemesis.
McSlutbag’s about to meet his match. Again.

Fun and refreshing!
This is a fun and unique spin on the teacher/student trope. I've really enjoyed Kendall Grey's books in the past, so when I heard she was doing something new under a new name, I was very excited.
If you've read her books in the past, you know she's got a knack for creating over the top and verrrrrry dirty characters. So while this was more rom-com than dirty, dirty, which I think was the point, it still has a good amount of dirty.
We meet cocky Mr. Slater while he's at a "staff development" meeting before school starts. We get an idea of his personality right off the bat. And honestly, I wasn't sure if I'd like him. But he grew on me and I fell hard for Mr. Slater. ;)
Roxie is something else. She's a mix between a dominatrix and a submissive. If there is such a thing. LOL! She's just so relatable and I really enjoyed her, and I don't usually like female characters.
The tension, good and bad, between Jack and Roxie is off the charts. There's lots of back and forth and ups and downs. This is definitely a slow burn. In fact, I was starting to get a little antsy, but then the fire catches and, oh my, it burns HOT!!!
Most of the secondary characters are just as likeable as our leads. Not all, but most. LOL! This is just a fun and refreshing story and I'm thrilled that Kendall has hopefully gotten her writing mojo back. Because she can write a dang good book! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more books from this universe! *cough*Savage*cough* ;)
Oh Mr Slater!
A book that will remind you why you fell in love with romantic comedy.
I LOVED SLATER AND RAMBLING! Thank you lord for bringing me another Kendall book. We missed you!
Let’s get this right Roxie with an ie is my new hero. She’s BOLD and BRASH. she knows her worth, nothing and no one will hold her down. She’s fierce, I loved everything about her character and the best thing is she may be 21 but you’d never know. I like how the author took a student teacher/ student/teacher book (see what I did there.) and kept it mature, I don’t usually go for this type of book but with the way Kendall writes a story, let’s just say I don’t think I’d ever pass up on one of her books.
Slater ahhh the unfortunate one who got it all wrong. I fell head over heels with him. He owned it and I love him for it.
I absolutely adored this book. It’s fun and flirty, it’s sexy and heartfelt. It’s got humor and romance. It’s got everything you want in a rom com. I laughed, I snickered, my heart hurt for Roxie, for her childhood. I actually could relate to many things about her.
“I’m gonna polish your knob like a maid on meth.”
Haha I died when I read that! LOL this book is full of these moments.
This book is pure brilliance, the plot, the characters and the writing was spot on. Amusing with life-like situations as well as inspiring.
If you want a great story with some laughs and exceptional story telling then grab this book. You can thank me later.
