He knows he ought to forget her…
When William Townsbridge returns from Portugal and meets Eloise Lamont, the new cook his mother has hired, he's instantly smitten. The only problem of course is that she's a servant – completely off limits for a gentleman with an ounce of honor. But as they become better acquainted, William starts to realize he must make Eloise his. The only question is how.
Eloise loves her new position. But William Townsbridge's arrival threatens everything, from her principles to her very heart. Falling for her employer's son would be monumentally stupid. All it can lead to is ruin, not only for the present, but for her entire future. So then the simplest solution would be to walk away. But can she?

Delightful Tasty Treat
Sophie Barnes pens a deliciously, delightful tale of love between opposites in social classes. It was sheer delight watching these two great characters find their way clear to love and be loved by one another! Oh, and don’t forget those mouthwatering dishes! Mother might have been right after all, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.
William Townsbridge, third son of a Viscount and Eloise Lamont, a young French chef find themselves in the precarious position of mutual attraction, falling in love and knowing their place in societal norms. They’re just couldn’t be a more lovable pair or two people more suited to one another, class be damned. Eloise is the more levelheaded of the two and William wants her at all costs and doesn’t think as clearly.
The writing is wonderful, the story is beautiful, the dialogue is just perfect and the characters are charmingly delightful!
Thank you so much Sophie for such an entertaining, mouthwatering story. I look forward to many more.
A delicious quandary
Oh, I love a quandary!
And this one is a dozy, in this tasty novella.
William is back in England and gets his first taste of the delicious treats and meals the family's new cook is creating. Eloise is the cook and in the family employ. William is honorable. See? Quandary.
But what sets this book apart is the tidbits of confections and the eloquent food descriptions. Its very fitting with the connection William is finding with Eloise.
Recommend. But be prepared to go find a snack while reading.
