When serious, logical Owen Miller walks into my cafe after the worst break-up in the history of public, mortifying break-ups, I can only think of one thing to do… so I kiss him.
Is it a mistake? Yes. Do I regret it? Not really.
Sure, I know friends aren’t supposed to kiss. And sourdough bakers with designs on a San Francisco bread empire aren’t supposed to manhandle their customers.
It’s a rebound, pure and simple. We both know it. And who says we can't be the first pair of friends with benefits to make it work? Or maybe it will be the disaster I should have seen coming. Yes, definitely the latter.
Except that after weekends in the wine country and a tour of my bread kitchen that's all about his hot loaf, I find that the funny, sensitive, smoking hot guy is everything I’ve ever wanted in a soulmate.
What I’m falling in love with my rebound guy?
Falling for You is part of the Berkeley Hills series. Each book features one of the feisty Finley siblings and can be read as a STANDALONE novel.
4 stars for Falling for You by Stacy Travis! We know a little about Isla from book 1 in this series, Second Chance at Us and it was great to get to read her story and get glimpses of of her big family again.
The first half of the book is mostly about Isla and how dedicated she is to her bakery business. I love that she is so sure of herself in that regard- in love, not so much. It takes a while for her to figure things out but Owen is a sweet guy and he is patient. We really don’t get to know Owen very well until the second half of the book and that is when the story really took off.
I hope to read many more books by this author!
