*I recommend reading the Heavenly Sins trilogy to better understand the world and some events that occur there that will get a better understanding here*
I loved this book! I actually rooted for this idea, that the author had to become a reality and it did. And it was made even more special when the author made the dedication page to me. We get the story of how Lucifer and Michael came together. The story started where Michael and Lucifer 1st began their relationship before Lucifer fell from Heaven and continued into the angel and demon war where they were reconnected. They story expands over centuries and catches up to the timeline in the trilogy and then goes beyond that to reach the conclusion. For readers who read the trilogy that was a certain ménage scene between Lucifer and Michael and 2 other demons, well that ménage continued in this book with a surprising consequence. That surprise connected with the triad characters from the trilogy. And a surprising act that occurred in book 3 was similar to a twist that Michael chose in this book, that added more drama and an obstacle for him and Lucifer to find their happiness. I will say that the book ended the way it began, and I was greatly satisfied, and for those who will have questions at the end. What is the fate of Michelle?
"The fate of Michelle.... well she is essentially good, but would always have the demon blood in her too. She will live a long life and maybe have a MMF since Michelle might want more than one man in her life, and is well used to seeing three in a relationship, though is currently too busy for even one man in her life."
What is the fate of the incubus and succubus?
"The incubus and succubus are experts at staying out of harms way. And karma will catch up with them eventually"
Who now rules the underworld with Lucifer gone?
"The Underworld is at war again, with leaders vying for the throne, but with no one keeping the most powerful prisoner. Which means lots of battles and war on earth... which is kind of what is happening these days. In my story, that is the reason for the increase in hostilities."
Is the ban on Angels and Demons being together lifted with Michael succeeding in his mission ?
"The ban isn't lifted - but there are always those who will break the rules. For love sometimes you may have to break the rules"
And what caused another down fall of angels to Hell?
"The fall of angels was simply another sign of the deterioration of the world into war."
Did Lucifer visit Michelle, his pseudo-daughter, while Michael had been reborn? Did Lucifer ever try to get Michelle to embrace her demon side?
"I am sure he did see her and her influence helped bring Lucifer around to the light. No there are some lines even he won't cross. "
