Talia Sharpe figured that once she'd accepted her legacy as a witch and the protector of the power of Mesquite Springs, she could settle into small town life and just go with the flow. The thing about power, though, is that if someone has it, someone else is going to want it.

Plus, it's hard to make friends in a new town when most of the people you meet are murder suspects and the death of a local cafe owner has everyone pointing fingers.

There's only so much Aunt Eleanor can do in her current non-corporeal state, and Talia still has a lot to learn about her own abilities and her place in Mesquite Springs. Fortunately the town has other guardians, too, because it's going to take all of them to figure out who -- or what -- is behind the latest threat to Mesquite Springs.
