Farmer Bob and the Red Fox
Publisher Description
One sunny morning, Farmer Bob woke to an almighty ruckus! Something had been in the hen house and attacked his chickens. Bob was sure it was a fox from the tracks left behind. Farmer Bob seeks some local advice about the best type of fence to keep his nasty predator away from his chickens, and how to capture the feral Red Fox.
In 2015, the Feral Animals Enviro-Stories program provided kids from central New South Wales, Australia, with the opportunity to write and illustrate stories about feral animals and their impacts on both biodiversity and agriculture. Schools were supported by technical staff from local organisations to help them learn about their feral animals. This project has resulted in ten books being published, printed and distributed as well as interactive books developed. This book was prepared by a student from St. Laurence’s School in Forbes with support from Central West Local Land Services and Invasive Animals CRC.
