A close friend of Kon and Oliver is brutally shot in his flat in Miami.

They vow to avenge him. The only clue to the killer’s identity is a crude star-shaped mark scrawled by the victim in his own blood.

The dead man spent the previous evening at a party on Star Island in Biscayne Bay, home to athletes, bankers and celebrities. The other guests are all connected one way or another with a bank account that belonged to deceased dictator Fidel Castro.

Helped by financier Carlton Tisch, Kon and Oliver whittle the list of suspects down to two and finally, in a dramatic shoot-out on Star Island, to just one.
