★★★★★ "What can I say about Arnie...he is "fierce"...sassy, funny, mostly dramatic but oh so adorable. You can see why Tobias is smitten. I tell ya the entire time I'm reading their story I'm either smiling or laughing. Tobias is oh so sweet and Arnie can't stay mad/angry at him. When everything (all the misunderstandings) is said and done, the guys have a wonderful HEA. I absolutely adored this story and highly recommend it if you want to enjoy a really good story about love and second chances." (reviewer)
One hot Seattle summer. A half-baked revenge plot. A gambit for love.
One minute I'm minding my own business enjoying the sunshine, next I'm wearing my iced coffee. Of course, the perpetrator is THE guy I've never forgotten—it seems though that he's forgotten me.
I'm awkward and generally have no clue what I'm doing, but this time Tobias isn't brushing me off.
I've never forgotten Arnie, or the night we had together.
When I, er, run into him again, I realize want to get to know him—as more than a friend.
I may come from a wealthy family and I know money can't buy happiness. But brash, socially awkward Arnie Ferguson makes me think happiness is possible when you let your heart choose.
nerd/geek, comedic elements, awkward, rich/poor, reunited, revenge-sort of, medium heat, shy lover, on the spectrum, loyal to a fault.
Feinted Love is a first person, dual POV, following Arnie Ferguson and Tobias Barrington as they do their best to awkwardly fall in love. Standalone, No cliffhanger, HEA guaranteed. Heat level, 3+.
Charming, witty, heart-warming cozy read. Special bonus: the characters have distinct humorous narrative voices.
So many points of perfection…
As the background is setup for Arnie and Tobias, I just want to push them together. Being an outside observer is hard when you can’t hurry them along. So much of this story just goes so very well, I was a bit fearful of what would upset the applecart…. I was delighted with the way these two came together and stayed together. I had a feeling by the end that it was a very good beginning for both of them.
