It’s been five years since I’ve seen her.
Five years since we lost everything.
Five years since I sold my soul to the devil and broke her heart to save her.
The years have been long, the sacrifice and loneliness have been crippling…and now, she’s back.
I’m not supposed to see her, talk to her – I’m not supposed to want her. It will only break open wounds I’ve fought to keep closed, but I can’t stay away. I tell myself I only want to see her face, to know my sacrifice has been worth it.
Because I sold my soul, and sometimes I’d do anything, even if it means hurting her again, to get it back.
OMG!! MUST READ
Jennifer Miller became one of my favorite writers when I read Pretty Little Lies and she just keeps getting better.
Fighting Pride Is a definite must read. Tatum and Cole had a tragedy in their young adult lIves that ended their relationship...jump ahead five years and they meet again. From the very beginning I was holding my breath waiting for them to connect. You can feel the love and spark between the two right from the first time they see each other after five long years. There is anger and hurt on both sides that you will be hoping this couple can overcome. You will be rooting for them from the first line of the book. There will be a shocking realization for Cole that you won't see coming and it just makes the story so much better. So grab some tissue because you will cry tears of sadness and happiness and you will laugh a little too. One things for sure, you won't be able to put this book down so find a quiet place and get reading.
Jennifer Miller did it again.
