These are the Civil War Diaries of Sergeant Martin Luther as published weekly in the White Pigeon newspaper of White Pigeon, Michigan, in 1912 and 1913. He would have been 72 or 73 when the newspaper published this version "Fighting Them Over", so he could have written the whole history many years earlier when memories were fresh and the records available.
