Publisher Description
Now a #1 Netflix documentary series. Get the full shocking story about billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein in this #1 New York Times bestselling and definitive book, updated with the latest headline-making news and new photos.
Jeffrey Epstein rose from humble origins into the New York City and Palm Beach elite. A college dropout with an instinct for numbers -- and for people -- Epstein amassed his wealth through a combination of access and skill. But even after he had it all, Epstein wanted more. That unceasing desire -- and especially a taste for underage girls --resulted in sexual-abuse charges, to which he pleaded guilty and received a shockingly lenient sentence.
Included here are police interviews with girls who have alleged sexual abuse by Epstein, details of the investigation against him, and a new introduction with up-to-the-minute developments on the case, including Epstein's death by suicide.
An explosive true story from the world's most popular thriller writer, FILTHY RICH is a riveting tale of wealth, power, and the easy price of justice for America's wealthiest citizens.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
The picture painted of Jeffrey Epstein and the abuse and miscarriages of justice in this white-collar crime account will haunt listeners. The authors stick with evidence they uncovered rather than delving too deep into whys and wherefores. The story covers Epstein's upbringing, financial exploits, extravagant sexual misconduct involving the solicitation of underage girls (of which he was found guilty), and how he attempted to cover his tracks during the investigation and bypassed real punishment for his crimes. Culp reads with a deep, coarse voice that draws out the raw and malicious elements of this true crime tale, but can quickly alter his voice to convey the emotions in the quotes from victims. His pacing and emphasis draw out the tension and heighten the drama. A Little, Brown hardcover.

Filthy Rich by James Patterson et al
Staggeringly bad. Fragmented, poorly written, awful prose and over use of colloquialisms. Learned little about the notorious pervert, Jeffrey Epstein. Or his associates, nor how he became “filthy rich”. Sorry to have purchased.

This book is an excellent nonfiction that describes a litany of factual evidence provided by police and court documents as well as personal testimony and excellent investigative reporting. It describes one of the biggest government coverups of a serial sexual predator and Florida state officials.
It is a page turner and current, with it’s linkage to Trump and his Administration.
A great read!!!
