Christine Pope has introduced us to a multitude of different magical talents, but none of them comes close to the talent Penny has. She is a lodestone. She draws magical items towards her. This time it’s a compass. And compasses can find so many things: things we didn’t even know we were looking for. Like how we handle relationships, ex-husband relatives, and our own fears. Those things make this book so good because it’s not just a cut and dry hunt for treasure, but an exploration of how Penny’s life has changed, how much she’s grown in the short time since she found out she was a witch. There’s magic, danger, tears, and romance. How could you not have romance with Isaac Zamora as your leading man?
I enjoyed this book just as much as I have the author’s other books and can’t wait for the next book in the series! I hope you like it as much as I did and then read some of the author’s other books. You won’t be disappointed!
