Fingerpicking Blues and Rock Guitar by Felix Schell is designed for the beginning to intermediate fingerpicking guitarist. The book has three main chapters. The first chapter depicts 12-bar blues accompaniments in different styles such as country-blues, rock, Latin, minor-blues, R&B and jazz. Also included are sections on improvising scales and intros & endings. In the 2nd chapter the student can find some original fingerpicking blues solos and in the 3rd there are rock blues solos. This material is great for guitar teachers and their students, but is also for the self-instructed guitarist who would like to become familiar with the fingerpicking blues and rock style.
