NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • In this companion novel to the award-winning Graceling, a girl with hair the color of flame is needed by the royal family for her magical ability . . . but will using her power turn her into a monster or save a kingdom?
“Thoughtful, steamy and completely original, Fire is YA fantasy at its absolute best.”—Sabaa Tahir, author of New York Times bestselling Ember in the Ashes
“There aren’t enough words to describe how awesome this book is.”—Romantic Times, starred review
It is not a peaceful time in the Dells. The young King Nash clings to his throne while rebel lords in the north and south build armies to unseat him. The mountains and forests are filled with spies and thieves and lawless men.
This is where Fire lives. With a wild, irresistible appearance and hair the color of flame, Fire is the last remaining human monster. Equally hated and adored, she has the unique ability to control minds, but she guards her power, unwilling to steal the secrets of innocent people. Especially when she has so many of her own.
Then Prince Brigan comes to bring her to King City. The royal family needs her help to uncover the plot against the king. Far away from home, Fire begins to realize there’s more to her power than she ever dreamed. Her power could save the kingdom.
If only she weren’t afraid of becoming the monster her father was.

Awesome Book!
Okay Kristin Cashore is one of the best authors Ever! She keeps u really into the story and omg this was another great book! U don't have to have read Graceling to understand this book, Fire, but it would probably be a little helpful. If u read Fire first u'll b dying to read Graceling next;)
Amazingly brilliant
I’ve read over this book in physical and digital form so many times, I love the story and all the characters. The author has such a good way of telling stories that you get immediately sucked in.
Fire
Kristen Cashore’s novel Fire is a most excellent fantasy story. This book is the prequel for her first fantasy novel, Graceling. These books are hard to put down once the characters have caught hold of your imagination. The alternate universe the characters inhabit seems real and the plot moves quickly. Definitely a recommended read.
