Excellent to chew on
This was fun to read and immediately gripped me from the start. There isn’t much too deep here other than a fun idea of superpowers but without overdoing it; it’s a slow burn and a fun sudden explosion (pun intended) at the end with a slow come down afterwards.
One thing I wish we could have known more about what Rainbirds final moments and if he understood death at the end. Stephen King built this man up and his obsession over death to just write him off in a blink of an eye. Sometimes you don’t get the ending you want, and I think that’s apt for life. Very fun

I have read everyone of your books. I am 51 and been reading your stuff since fourth grade. I had watched the film of Firestarter years ago so I skipped this book until now. Wow! I’m so glad I didn’t miss this excellent story because it’s now my favorite. Your storytelling was just wonderful and I literally felt like I could see every scene in my head. Yours words painted the pictures so beautifully. This is now my favorite book. Thank you for your storytelling.
