Firmament

After the death of her husband, Gina starts to worry about her son, Mark, as she struggles with her own grief. As the days go by, she realizes that Mark is dealing with the loss of his father in a strange way. As a rainstorm falls over their home, Gina's worry quickly evolves into fear as Mark starts spending most of his time in the rain, uncovering horrors that overshadow even the deepest grief.Firmament is a short story of approximately 4,400 words.
