I hadn't seen my old college roommate for years, so when he showed up at my office wearing a priest's collar and telling me he had something to confess to me, I was confused. What could he have done that he needed to confess it?

We went to dinner, and he told me: he was gay, and one night, once upon a time, after a party where we'd both gotten pretty drunk, he'd kissed me on the mouth.

Could I forgive him for something I didn't remember? And where would we go from there?
