With two big names to lead . . .
, Child and Lescroat, this anthology is a sorry embarrassment to both best-selling authors. I was particularly startled by Lescroat’s “contribution,” which read like a silly James Bond parody. The striving lesser-knowns who agreed to contribute may never live this down. Can sales really be so important to these best selling authors that they would drag aspirants down into this dog’s breakfast?
