First Truth
This is the beginning of Sonia and Levi’s story. Sonia comes to get her sister who happens to be the dictatorial mayor of the City of Blood to tear the walls down and free the citizens. When that doesn’t work she finds a job and safety at The Black Fan. She also runs into Levi in a bar and they begin a relationship obviously as this is their origin story. I’m eager to see if Sonia’s identity is discovered and if so how the people around her react. Also will she be able to end her sister’s reign of terror. Bite of truth is next on the to be read list to see if those questions are answered.
This is my honest review of the free book I was provided by the author.
First Truth
No one wants to enter the City of Blood except for Sonia. Sonia might seem crazy to want to be here but she has a reason. She wants to convince her sister Reese, who is the mayor of the city to leave. She wants her sister to come home and stop all the evil she has done. Sonia gets to see her sister but unfortunately Reese will not leave. Sonia leaves her sister but must find somewhere to stay because the sun will be rising soon. Sonia is directed to the Black Fan which she thinks is a hotel. Sonia meets Catherine who allows her to stay. Sonia goes out one day and meets Levi. They enjoy each other’s company and decide to see each other again. This is a short prequel to The Black Fan series. It is a fast and enjoyable read. Laura Greenwood has written another good story in a amazing world she has created. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
