Publisher Description

One October night, Jon Levesque was curled up on an aluminum bench at a ferry terminal - thirty years old, marriage gone, house gone, church gone, bank account emptied on the way out.

Same guy, ten years later: an executive career, a marriage that's an absolute yes, and a generational cycle that ended because he decided it ended with him.

The facts didn't change. The story did.

This book is the toolkit - fourteen frameworks for finding the code you've been running since childhood, separating what happened from what you made it mean, and writing something better.

Who this is for

People who have been doing the work and still can't find the key. You've read the books. You've made the changes. And you keep ending up in the same place, having the same fight, telling the same story about why. That story was written by a kid. You've been taking life advice from someone that age ever since, and you can't rewrite code you've never read.

What's inside

Fourteen chapters in four parts. Every chapter tells a true story, then ends with Do the Work: the framework in a sentence, the questions to ask yourself, and one thing to actually do.

Part I - The Code Gets Written Early
1. The Stories You're Telling Yourself
2. The Trap You Built Without Knowing It
3. The Complaint You're Married To

Part II - Strip the Code
4. Facts vs. Fiction
5. You Decided Before They Spoke
6. Is It Working?
7. Being In My Life Is a Privilege
8. The Armor That Became a Cage

Part III - Rewrite the Code
9. Stop Surviving, Play to Win
10. Let Them In
11. F**k Yes or F**k No
12. Love Has Levels

Part IV - The Proof
13. The Climb
14. The Cycle Breaking

About the author

Jon Levesque is a high school dropout with a GED. No degree, no certifications, no letters after his name. What he has instead is receipts: eighteen moves before finishing school, a childhood of empty fridges, a first marriage that ended with a cleaned-out condo, and one long October night on a ferry terminal bench at what looked a lot like rock bottom. Then he fixed his thinking. He went from minimum wage to executive leadership, built online communities millions strong for some of the biggest names in tech, and speaks on stages around the world that the kid he used to be was never supposed to see.

He didn't write this to inspire you. He wrote it to hand you the tools.

Same facts. New story. Different life.
