I have always been aware that it takes a very special kind of person to be a smoke jumper. Flame, gives a look into the hardships of finding a life partner and the fears that families deal with that can become reality with the fickleness of which direction the wind blows.

This was a great conclusion to the Firefighters series.
Dex and Cady had known each other since high school, but their timing was always off. I loved the chemistry between the two of them. And the way Dex is with his niece just made my heart melt. They were both very likable characters and I really liked that there wasn't a lot of unnecessary drama between them. There were bumps in the road, but nothing over the top. And as a side note, I got really hungry reading about the cupcakes from Cady's Cakes.
