Flora's Money

Flora, village-born on a remote Lake Michigan shore, matures into a lithe beauty, over 6 feet tall. At 19, she runs away, hitch-hikes to Chicago, and prospers as a popular barmaid in Golden’s speakeasy–until she is forced to hide when stacks of cash disappear. Assisted by pals back home, Grover and Arie, Flora struggles to revive her town's economy with tainted money though her personal morality, and vengeful hoods, threaten to wreck her grand plan.
