Fly Out Day

Fly Out Day is a gritty, high-octane zombie novel set against the scorching backdrop of the West Australian mining industry. It captures the bleak isolation of FIFO life, the dark humour of Aussie resilience, and the inconvenience of the dead rising on fly-out day.

Dan Forest is thrown from his bunk straight into a bloody nightmare.
Stranded on a remote desert rig-dazed and alone-he wakes to find Western Australia in chaos.
A deadly virus is tearing through Perth and the state has been cut off from the rest of the country.

Get ready for: Bogans armed to the teeth. Weaponised dump trucks. Hordes of the undead. Rabid wild dogs.

Two thousand kilometres of dirt, death and desperation stand between Dan and his family.
Can raw determination and a battered ute get him home to Fremantle before it's too late?

Think Mad Max meets The Walking Dead-only sweatier, swearier and in faded hi-vis.
