Flying in Cornwall

Cornish aviation arrived in 1910, when a flimsy biplane first flew over Penzance. During both World Wars, Cornwall’s position at the meeting of the Channel and the Atlantic  led to widespread military flying. Civil aviation too has blossomed, from the earliest biplane services at Land’s End to the modern airliners of today.
