Descripción editorial

Author Ken Augustine spent 5 years as a pilot in the United States Air Force after graduating from Grinnell College in 1968.  But 40 years later, almost no one knew much about that eventful segment of his life.  His sister, Kay, pointed this out to him recently, prompting Ken to write this collection of stories and memoirs from those early days spent flying cargo planes to far flung corners of the earth.

Enjoyed the flight!

An ordinary Iowa farm boy doing extraordinary things to serve our country, this autobiography by Ken Augustine is fun to read, filled with great pictures, and gives a glimpse into the everyday life of an U.S. Air Force Pilot during the Vietnam War era.
