Follow Me Back is the perfect mix of fandom with just the right amount of suspense. An enthralling page turner from beginning to end. —Anna Todd, New York Times bestselling author of the After series
Tessa Hart’s world feels very small. Confined to her bedroom with agoraphobia, her one escape is the online fandom for pop sensation Eric Thorn. When he tweets to his fans, it’s like his speaking directly to her…
Eric Thorn is frightened by his obsessive fans. They take their devotion way too far. It doesn’t help that his PR team keeps posting to encourage their fantasies.
When a fellow pop star is murdered at the hands of a fan, Eric knows he has to do something to shatter his online image fast—like take down one of his top Twitter followers. But Eric’s plan to troll @TessaHeartsEric unexpectedly evolves into an online relationship deeper than either could have imagined. And when the two arrange to meet IRL, what should have made for the world’s best episode of Catfish takes a deadly turn…
Told through tweets, direct messages, and police transcripts, this thriller for the online generation will keep you guessing right up to the shocking end.
Battling agoraphobia triggered by an event she refuses to discuss, Tessa Hart defers her freshman year of college and spends her days locked away; social media is her primary connection to the outside world. On Twitter, Tessa finds sanctuary in the online fandom surrounding Eric Thorn, where devotees of this onetime YouTube hopeful turned pop music star follow his every move. Eric himself is jaded, constricted by his celebrity and afraid of his often rabid and obsessive fans. After creating an alternate persona to troll his own fans on Twitter, Eric under the pseudonym Taylor begins a friendship and flirtation with seemingly genuine Tessa. As their relationship deepens, identities become less clear and things turn deadly. Debut author Geiger's social-media-saturated thriller (which fittingly got its start on Wattpad) should transfix teens for whom online relationships (romantic and otherwise) are integral parts of daily life, and catfishing and hacking are genuine fears. Tweets, direct messages, and police interrogation transcripts are incorporated throughout, throwing the reliability of both narrators into question and hinting at the sinister thread underlying this boy-meets-girl story. Ages 14 up.

OMG!! Totally OBSESSED!!
I picked this book up expecting some light reading that was just a little different than the mass of predictable romance and/or mystery novels. I NEVER EXPECTED THIS!! I started this story and literally could not put it down!! Such a unique plot line, characters so well developed that you can FEEL their feelings as thoughts and fears are expressed and sooo fabulously executed that you don't know what's coming next!! NOTHING about this story was really predictable!! And I CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE!! One of the absolute best novels that I have read this year!! And I read probably hundreds of books a year! EXCELLENT!!! This author is totally new to me but won't be after today! However...she can rest easy! The only stalking I will do will be for her books! 😉
Absolutely amazing book. Had you on the edge of your seat- and off your seat when you read the CRAZY cliff hanger at the end of your book. The plot twists are insane. And the social media element really makes this feel real. If you’re looking for a fun, teen thriller... this is it.
I am screaming!!!!
Like Caroline_AA, I got to the end and was pleasantly surprised, a little flustered (cause I thought I knew where this was going) but surprised. I loved how this book wasn't at all cheesy and subtle hints dropped throughout the book, some of them I didn't think were super important until you read further on and you think "oh crap that makes sense now!" Definitely give this book a read, you will not be disappointed. My only complaint is that I read this book too fast and am really hoping there is another book to follow. *squeals on the inside*
