Football - Statistics on the Field

Can you use statistics to win in football? How can you get an overview of statistical material? How can you illustrate the results of a statistical survey?


This book works with frequency and percentage in relation to single and grouped observations. Concepts such as minimum and maximum value, range, mode and mean are used and explained. Bar diagrams and pie charts are used. The book also contains videos that show how to use the Numbers app to make tables and diagrams.


The tasks are based on the subject of football and include statistical analysis of when and how goals are scored. There is a focus on tables and diagrams which require explanations and conclusions on the results of statistical analysis.


This book is developed to be able to be used from age 12 through adult education as well as in interdisciplinary courses and projects in mathematics.
