Descripción editorial
Laci Rocha Peterson, 8 months pregnant, was last seen by her sister, Amy, in the late afternoon of December 23, 2002. She spoke to her mother, Sharon Rocha, at 8:30 p.m. that night. This would be the last time anyone from her immediate family ever spoke to her.
A search began which lasted an agonizing four months. Sadly, Laci Peterson and her son Conner were found dead on the shores of San Francisco Bay on April 18, 2003.
Her husband, Scott, was eventually arrested and charged with the murder of Laci and Connor. After a sensational, media-saturated trial, Peterson was found guilty of capital murder and was sentenced to death on March 16, 2005.
This book deals with the story in three separate sections: first, Sharon describes the ordinary, loving life her daughter led, including fond memories of her childhood and adolescence. Second, it covers her marriage, disappearance, the community's moving search for her, and her and Connor's eventual recovery from San Francisco Bay. Third, it tells the story of the trial in detail not before revealed. Sharon will also talk about victim's rights, a subject on which she now campaigns regularly.

Courage, Strength, Love, Determination…
…are the top four words I come to think of when I think about Sharon Rocha. What strength it took her to trek this terrible journey as well as complete this incredible book. Sharon did such an amazing job depicting every detail she and her family lived through during that time. Advertising the truth! As well as letting us get to know Laci and the woman she is. Thank you for giving your readers a further understanding into this incredibly sad story. Growing up and still living in California’s Central Valley I will never forget Laci or Conner.
Prayers of peace to you and your family Sharon. Always know she’s smiling down on you ♥️ 🙏🏼
Love & tears
I felt all the emotions as I read Sharon’s words. I was in high school when this happened and remember being in college and watching the coverage. To this day I find it so heart breaking and devastating what Scott did to his Family. Now I am a mother and I could not imagine the pain of losing a child and especially to murder. I hate that now 20 years later her family has to face Scott again. I will keep you all in our prayers that he stays where he belongs. I love the book and getting to know Laci through her mother’s words. We have a painted lady bug rock in my flower garden, I think I will forever think of Laci when I see it. Rest is peace Laci and baby Conner.
Unbelievable
A page turner from start to end!
