Publisher Description
Ben Hogan, author of The Modern Fundamentals of Golf , believed that golfers with average coordination could learn to break 80 if they applied themselves intelligently to learning his concepts.
Author Mike Stair has created this companion piece from the position of an average golfer. He has benefited from Mr. Hogan's instruction and has applied more than thirty years of teaching and analysis to the clarification of Hogan's more obscure instructions. If you are eager to improve your game, and wish someone could explain it in terms you can make sense of, this book will help lower your score while raising your appreciation for Ben Hogan and the game he played so well.
Customer Reviews
Gives you a foundation to work on
This is a good book to build a fundamental swing. It is not the original book and not as in depth. The title gives it away.
It is not meant to be a replacement either. What it does, is simplify Hogans concepts and principles. Provide you a solid starting instruction to have a repeatable golf swing. It will take time to understand and apply the concepts. But they are sure worth it. I have already dropped my average on a 9 hole par 3 course to the mid and low 40s. I have only been playing for 5 months (playing and practicing once a week) and started in the high 50s low 60 average.
Again, not the original (read the title before you buy). The book does what it's meant to do.
Rip off
Downloaded too fast not realizing it wasn't hogans book. Who cares what some random guy who can't break 80 thinks about hogans teachings
Not the real thing
What would happen if I rewrote moby dick. Get the real thing instead.
