For Us

What if the stories that changed the world were never fully told?

For Us: History Retold is a children's book series created to introduce young readers to influential Black leaders, inventors, explorers, scholars, and freedom fighters whose contributions helped shape history. Through engaging storytelling and age-appropriate lessons, each book highlights remarkable individuals and events that are often overlooked, misunderstood, or only briefly mentioned in traditional history lessons.

From the celebration of Juneteenth to the wealth and wisdom of Mansa Musa, the courage of Harriet Tubman, the brilliance of ancient scholars, and the lasting impact of the Moors, this series encourages children to discover the people whose ideas, leadership, and determination changed the world.

Designed to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning, For Us: History Retold reminds young readers that history belongs to everyone-and that understanding the past helps us build a brighter future.

Join us as we uncover forgotten stories, celebrate powerful legacies, and ensure that the voices of history continue to be heard for generations to come.
