Loved all her books but this one
I feel that the character of the pastor is only pastor in name and completely unrealistic and not representative in any way of how a pastor would behave. Not saying a pastor cannot experience romance, but this guy’s morals are not representative of the behavior of a pastor, so the role for the character does not align. For example, a pastor would never push himself on someone working for him among other things. This story tries to incorporate Christianity as loosely as possible, but the book is riddled with statements that reject its teachings. The pastor’s behavior is no different from a non Christian, and this is cringy to me. I chose not to finish the book because it made a mockery of my religion.
