The duke that Annalise married has a dark secret and she intends to find out exactly what it is...
Annalise came to her new home expecting a sumptuous castle. To say that the place is a ruin is being kindwould be an understatement. The dark corridors and crumbling stone, along with the cloudy winter weather is the perfect backdrop for Annalise to contemplate her dissatisfaction with her marriage to the duke.
He has seemingly married her for the sole purpose of producing an heir and he is most intent on doing so. Or so it seems to Annalise every night when he visits her bed chamber.
Percival has never met a woman so as bewitching as his wife. He was enchanted with her from the first moment he saw herlaid his eyes on her and getting her with child has not been unpleasant.
But the woman is determined to find out what is beyond the wrought -iron gate in the garden, no matter what destruction it will bring down upon them. And he absolutely cannot let allow her do that.
He must keep everyone, including his wife, from finding out what lies past the gate. Even if it means destroying their blossoming relationship in the process.
Some secrets are not meant to be discovered and Percival will take his to the grave.
This could’ve been a good story, unfortunately, the author seemed solely focused on the poorly written “sex” scenes rather than developing the actual story and its characters.
