Irresistibly Captivating
Kris Kennedy is amazing! If it’s a romantic historical medieval romance you’re looking for, you’ve found it In “Forbidden Warrior”. This is my first book by Kris but it definitely won’t be my last! She weaves a wonderful tale of romance that transports you back in time bringing the characters and story together masterfully.
I loved this well written tale of unexpected love, the righting of wrongs, and family honor. The characters are just wonderful and come to life with every word. The dialogue between Máel and Cassia is fantastic, fun and witty, guaranteed to make you smile. The imagery is rich in detail making you a spectator in the story. The story itself is filled with such beautiful, heart fluttering emotions and electrifying passion as Márl and Cassia fall in love.
Máel is driven by family honor to reclaim a sword, a family heirloom, whom some even believed to hold magical properties, given him by his father, stolen by a ruthless, evil minded man. He’s strong, gorgeous and a good man. Cassia is an intelligent young woman trapped under her father’s thumb believing her knight will win her hand and her love and most of all love her in return. Little does she know she is being sold to the highest bidder.
In the midst of King Richard the Lionheart being held for ransom and his evil brother John trying to steal the throne this captivating story is filled with intrigue, spies, an evil villain, action packed adventure and romance to live for.
This is most definitely a must read! I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you so much Kris for such an enthralling, entertaining and lovely romance!
