WOW! BEAT ALL MY EXPECTATIONS!

It was definitely one of the best mystery romance novels I have ever read. Forbidden by Bailey Grey had made my weekend. It is true, when they say, that a great book is impossible to put down yet very sad to finish because you become so attached to its characters.

Grey’s characters are deep, carefully thought through, and feel very real. Each with their own troubled past and hidden secrets; they are brought together, creating an inevitable conflict and an ever raising suspense on each page. I was drawn into the plot from the first pages and could not stop reading. Forbidden has a perfect balance of a thrilling mystery and presently developing relationships. It’s a book that you can not wait to find out what happens next yet you savor each sentence of a developing story.

What I loved the most about this book was that it was full of surprises and was breaking all possible expectations. That is precisely why it’s so hard to stop reading it even when it’s waaaay past midnight. As hard as it was to imagine the end of the book was very satisfying. I found myself crying and then crying some more. You have to read it for yourself and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. I found Grey’s writing style very comforting and easy to read. With its unique settings and a voice of its own, Forbidden makes a perfect read in front of a fireplace and with a cup of hot drink during this coming winter.

I’m very excited to have discovered Bailey Grey and can not wait to read her next book. I would definitely recommend her to all fans of Nora Roberts. Writers like them redefine romance genre expanding it well beyond a traditional love story.
