Dr. Kate Morgan has spent years studying the human mind, cataloging its fractures and attempting repairs, according to the protocols she trusts. But Wyn—found wandering on a desert highway, disoriented and unable to explain why he is there—defies every psychiatric category she knows. His migraines manifest as full-body seizures. His delusions include technical specifications for interstellar travel. And late at night, when he walks into the Mojave darkness, impossible things happen.

Light bends around him. Energy pulses from his skin. Reality itself seems to respond to his presence as if it was in a higher frequency.

At the Bellingham Institute, Kate's colleagues see only another case study. The director sees an opportunity for groundbreaking—and ethically catastrophic—research. But Kate begins to suspect that Wyn's condition isn't a breakdown of sanity. It's a breakdown of the barriers between worlds.

As the institute's experiments grow more invasive and Wyn's migraines more intense, Kate faces a sudden intuition that could destroy her career: what if her patient isn't mentally ill? What if he's exactly what he claims to be, an emissary from another galaxy, sent to find the one human who might understand?

Some bridges can only be built by those who choose to stand in the space between worlds. The question becomes a touchstone for survival--what choice is Kate willing to make?
