Carter Morelli survived a dark childhood and dangerous missions. But when he emergency lands a small aircraft on the ocean, he faces something worse: having someone depend on him. He has to keep innocent June Porter safe on the deserted island.
Except they aren’t alone here…
A man hides among the broad leaves. He’s almost feral.
There are secrets in his cabin. Desire, too.
Carter doesn’t want to care about beautiful June. He doesn’t want to care about the mysterious and sensual man who’s almost part of the wilderness.
Scorching chemistry draws all three of them deeper.
They already survived the plane crash, but will they survive the fall?

I was anticipating this release and pre-ordered. It’s so poorly plotted and really hard to read.
Total train wreck!!!
This was a mess. The plot was all over the place and the story went from fair to horrible. Very difficult to follow and then then the last portion of the book went into pornhub mode, out of left field. And it was about as badly written as I have ever read. Also what took place was not for me. MM, MMF and MF. And it made me uncomfortable and found in not sexy at all.
And to top it all of what transpired towards the end with the heroine was not okay either.
With the heroine, there was a strong element of dubious consent between the heroine and a third party, other male, at the bidding of the hero and with the heroine incapable of consenting?? Nope definitely not for me!
This was a mess!!
If that is more to your liking then this book will be fine for you.
But if you want romance, possessive male and chemistry with heart and emotions. I would have to say don’t bother.
Hot hot hot! I’ve been eager for this book since I read The Crash and it did not disappoint! It’s kinda slow burn at first but with all the adventure and action it doesn’t feel dull. The different POVs was a plus. I have to admit I jumped on this book blind, so I didn’t know what to expect.
June and Carter got to know each other better and I admired June’s strength in her dire circumstances. Carter, strong as ever, pushed against all odds to keep June safe, even from him. So their relationship did have some evolution. But there’s some super instant lust I don’t want to get into details because I don’t want to spoil anything.
The inner musings of the characters were full of metaphors and similes, so it felt poetic, but sometimes I just wanted them to get to the point!
As mentioned before, this is slow burn, so the steaminess doesn’t really start until 80% of the book, but oh it’s so worth it!
I need the next book! It ended in the worst cliffhanger!
