Not Worth The Read

The plot had so much potential but it just wasn’t executed well and at some points, didn’t make sense at all. The writing continued to deteriorate as the story went on. The characters constantly insulted and berated each other, the story got choppy, and their actions towards the end just lacked all thought and were incredibly toxic. Although it was technically a happy ending, it left so much unresolved. The plot was interesting but the execution was so poor that it was frustrating, I only finished the book out of curiosity, not because i actually enjoyed it.

I really really want to finish this book. It sounds so interesting but the more I read it the more it annoys me. For example using for and as in places they don’t need to be. Or the way Connor acts like a 16 y/o in a 30 y/o body, it is not connecting. I really hope it gets a rewrite so I can actually enjoy it.
