It is a sad but a true commentary that 'politicians'--to use Sir Winston Churchill's euphemistic phrases : masters of power, evasion, verisimilitudes--and government economists (masters of economy), with a view to win people's confidence and trust; engage in momentary activities which deal with pseudo realities and which affect the lives of millions of people through their policy formulations and decisions. It is in this perspective the cartoon by Jell MacNelly which appeared during the presidential campaign (Jimmy Carter vs Gerald Ford : 1976) is refreshing and thought-provoking.
